Laser Cutting

High-precision cutting and engraving on non-metallic materials. We also offer fiber laser engraving for metals. Ideal for decorative pieces, signage, prototypes and small production runs.

Technical Specifications

Work Area1400 × 900 mm
MDF ThicknessUp to 15 mm
Acrylic ThicknessUp to 15 mm

Layer Colours

Each colour in the file corresponds to a different laser machine operation.

BlueCut

Full cut — the line goes completely through the material.

RedScore / Half cut

Can be an open line — only marks the material without cutting through. Useful for creases and folds.

GreenEngrave / Fill

Useful for graphics, logo fills and other areas where we want to add visual emphasis.

BlackInformation

Information layer — will not be considered for cutting or engraving. Use for dimensions, notes and technical specifications.

Letters and numbers must ALWAYS be converted to outlines/curves. Never send editable text — the laser does not interpret fonts.

Laser engraving available for virtually all non-metallic materials (CO2) and metals (fiber laser, 110×110 mm area).

How It Works

From your project to the final product

01

Vector Design

Create your design in Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD or similar software. Use the correct layer colours (blue=cut, red=score, green=engrave). Convert all text to outlines/curves.

02

Material Selection

Choose the material and thickness from our compatible materials list.

03

File Preparation

Use our template to position parts within the work area (1400×900 mm).

04

Submit Project

Send to info@dholetec.com with billing details, material, thicknesses and shipping or assembly requirements.

05

Quote & Delivery

Receive a quote with payment terms and delivery timeline. After confirmation, we begin production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our CO2 laser cuts non-metallic materials: MDF, acrylic, plywood, cork, cardboard (pressed, corrugated, wood), leather/hide, felt, fabric, paper and EVA/EPE foams.

The CO2 laser does not cut metals. However, we offer metal engraving with a fiber laser (110×110 mm area). For metal cutting, we recommend our CNC milling service for aluminium.

Cutting goes completely through the material, separating the pieces. Engraving only removes the surface, creating marks, text or images without cutting all the way through.

Depending on the material: MDF up to 15 mm, acrylic up to 15 mm, plywood up to 12 mm. For greater thicknesses, contact us — feasibility depends on material type.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) emits toxic chlorine gases when laser cut, which is dangerous for health and damages the equipment. We recommend acrylic as an alternative.

The file must be in vector format (AI, CDR, DXF, SVG). Use the correct layer colours: blue for cutting, red for scoring, green for engraving and black for information. Important: ALWAYS convert letters and numbers to outlines/curves — never send editable text. Download our template from the File Preparation page.

The timeline depends on the complexity and volume of the project. Simple jobs can be ready in 24-48 hours. Larger or series projects are quoted with a specific timeline.

Yes! We have a fiber laser for engraving on metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper. The engraving area is 110×110 mm.
